Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

Google's cloud computing services offering infrastructure, platform, and serverless computing environments with cutting-edge AI/ML capabilities.

Overview

Google Cloud Platform provides a suite of cloud computing services that runs on the same infrastructure Google uses internally for products like Search and YouTube. As a former Google Cloud Customer Engineer (2022-2024), I drove enterprise cloud adoption by crafting tailored GCP solutions for complex business challenges.

My GCP Experience

At Google Cloud, I acted as a trusted advisor to enterprise clients, translating technical requirements into actionable cloud architectures. I led the National Capital Region LGBTQ+ ERG, fostering community engagement while delivering technical excellence to customers.

Specialty Areas

Focused on networking architecture, BGP optimization, IP transit, and SASE platform integration. Worked extensively with Fortinet to architect their SASE platform on GCP.

Client Success Stories

Helped EPAM Systems resolve issues with Dialogflow, Datastore API, and Discovery Engine API for Google Marketplace solutions. Provided ongoing support for enterprise AI/ML implementations.

Key GCP Services

Compute Engine for VMs, GKE (Google Kubernetes Engine) for container orchestration, BigQuery for data analytics, Vertex AI for machine learning, Cloud Storage for object storage, Cloud Functions for serverless, and Anthos for hybrid cloud.

GCP Advantages

Industry-leading data analytics with BigQuery, cutting-edge AI/ML capabilities through Vertex AI and Gemini models, global network infrastructure, strong Kubernetes support, and competitive pricing with sustained use discounts.
